Community Involvement

The Tavern Hospitality Group (THG) actively believes in supporting the Denver community that has for so long supported us. Among the many causes that are dear to us are those that benefit children’s health issues and the fight against hunger.

We have a particularly close partnership with Concerts For Kids. Concerts For Kids (CFK) enriches the lives of children by raising much-needed funds for local children's health and education through entertainment. In addition to raising funds at adult-targeted events, CFK creates experiences that entertain hospitalized children in an attempt to take their minds off of their illnesses and allow them to just be children. As an intimate live music venue featuring local, national and international acts, The Soiled Dove Underground, part of the THG family, is a perfect fit for such events. Management at The Soiled Dove Underground has the ability to reach out to the musical talent in the city and bring them together to create special memories for these children. Throughout the year, THG and CFK partner to organize concert series at The Children’s Hospital for patients and their families. The hour prior to the show, the musicians go floor to floor and perform for those children who are too ill to attend.

Among other organizations supported by THG are Families First and Metro CareRing. THG has supported Families First with toy drives and volunteer hours. Families First provides services which strengthen families and protect children from the cycle of child abuse and neglect. They provide a home for children who have been taken from their families by Social Services. They also offer prevention and intervention classes for families to teach them how to protect children and raise them in a healthy way.

Metro CareRing is a non-profit emergency food pantry providing individuals and families with food, bus tokens, and toiletries and funds for utility assistance, work tools, and identification documentation. Utilizing over 150 volunteers and nine paid staff, Metro CareRing serves approximately 35,000 households each year - half of which are children. Metro CareRing strives to create a "ring of care" around the people in the community needing emergency assistance.

If you would like to request a contribution or donation for your charity event, please submit your request in writing to Helen Wood, Director of Marketing, at helen@tavernhg.com at least six weeks prior to your event.

We feel fortunate to be able to give back to the community. Due to the overwhelming number of requests we receive, however, we aren’t always able to fulfill each and every one. Please do not take this as a reflection on your event or organization.
