Understanding, Protecting and Expanding Your Energy in Your Physical and Spiritual Worlds
Our sensitivity is a gift. We not only perceive our world through our five physical senses, but also constantly pick up information telepathically at a nonverbal, intuitive level. We receive these telepathic broadcasts from both people and from spirits in the higher realms.

Our thoughts are the doorway to sensing energy and our intuition provides the tools for working with it. In the first part of this event, Rebecca will explain:
* How to sense energy at a telepathic level to send and receive psychic messages
* How to recognize when we've taken on other people's energy and how to release it
* How to protect our energy and not be affected by other people's bad moods and negativity around us
* How to transform negative energy into positive
* How to help people evolve, thus increase the positive energy around us
* How to control the messages (thoughts and feelings of others) we pick up
* How to experience greater love and peace in relationships
* How to move out of the denser energies of the physical plane and live in the higher energies of peace, calm, love and positivity
* How to open and increase our intuition
* How to open to higher, divine guidance

In the second part of this event, Rebecca will demonstrate her mediumship work through audience readings. This will allow select audience members to receive healing, insightful and comforting messages, spiritual guidance and meaningful validations of life after death from deceased loved ones, spirit guides and angelic beings.

Cody Beebe and The Crooks Website

Cody Beebe & The Crooks are a 5-piece Roots Rock band from Seattle, WA. Formed in February of 2009, the group combines Beebe's aggressively percussive guitar style with the diverse musical experience of a strikingly creative and cultured band. Cody Beebe & The Crooks blend rock, blues, jazz, and country with an artistic integrity that is intriguing and unforgettable, often referred to as progressive Americana by the band members themselves (think Steve Earle meets Pink Floyd). Their first collective offering, "Friends of the Old Mill," was recorded at Seattle's London Bridge Studio in 2010 with legendary producer and engineer Jonathan Plum (Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, Blind Melon, Candlebox, Queensryche). The band's philosophy in recording the album was to convey the dynamic energy of their live performances while maintaining a stylish, polished sound. Tracked to analog tape and mixed on London Bridge Studio's vintage analog console, "Friends of the Old Mill" is an excellent display of the band's timeless, honest approach to writing, recording, and performing their music.

I'm With Her Website

What should you expect when two established artists like Angie Stevens and Haley E. Rydell step away from their current projects and come together and collaborate? Both musicians were unsure, but excited at the prospect. As Rydell states, "I would be lying if I said I hadn't dreamt about working with Angie in a larger capacity than our previous impromptu performances. I had no idea what to expect, which in retrospect, I think was a good thing, because it left a totally blank canvas for us to work with." Stevens echoes her thoughts, "I wasn't sure what to expect. I have always been intrigued by Haley's writing style and musical abilities. I hoped it wouldn't be awkward!" And the band "I'm With Her" was born. "I was surprised because it came together so easily. It felt natural and perfect," says Rydell. This should come as no surprise as both musicians bring a wealth of writing, recording and performing experience to the table. Stevens has released a live DVD and five CDs throughout her solo career and with her band "The Beautiful Wreck." Rydell has two recordings with "Haley E. & the Rydells" and another two with the Johnson Family Band. As part of this project, Stevens and Rydell are working on favorites from their individual catalogs, pulling in a few select covers and developing new songs. Rydell notes, "A lot of the music we worked on was new material, which was really fun, because even we didn't know exactly what we wanted to do with it yet. Over time, parts came together and it all made sense."

Early St. Patty's Day Bash!
Young Dubliners
with Special Guests

Genre: Celtic Rock
Doors: 7:00PM
Show: 8:00PM

Start your St. Patty's Day early at The Dove with a very special show from The Young Dubliners! This will be a standing room only party that you won't want to miss!

The hard-rocking Irish band, the Young Dubliners owe everything to their fans. "They keep us honest, expecting good music both on the road and on the albums," mentions frontman Keith Roberts. Building a fervent fan base comparable to that of jam band rockers like Phish and Dave Matthews Band, The Young Dubliners have become notorious for the whirling "jig pits" that erupt at their live shows. In fact, the group's origins can be traced back to Los Angeles' vibrant pub scene in which Dublin natives Keith Roberts (vocals, guitar) and Paul O'Toole first met. The Young Dubliners grew into a pugnacious music machine resulting in their debut, the Rocky Road EP (1994). It exhibited a hefty rock sound that made them a club favorite. Breathe followed a year later with the addition of Chas Waltz (violin, keys, harmonica, etc). By 2000, the band had morphed into a septet without O'Toole and released the critically acclaimed Red. The presence of the band sky-rocketed: Gabriel Byrne requested the band to write the theme song for his television show Madigan Men and they spent much of 2001 touring Europe with Jethro Tull, and the US as headliners and as openers for acts such as John Hiatt and Robert Cray. The Young Dubliners also revved up the crowd at the 2002 Olympics in Salt Lake City. From Irish-flavored anthemic rock to rowdy pub tunes, lead singer Keith Roberts voice is stronger than ever and the songwriting, performance, and production show a new maturity and artistic ambition. Roberts notes, "Since Absolutely, we've become a much tighter band. It's the first time we've had the same members for two albums in a row, plus we've had the benefit of relentless touring. I think those two factors have really come together to make us sound and write better."

JD Souther

Genre: Singer/Songwriter
Doors: 7:00PM
Show: 8:00PM

When JD Souther was thinking about making an album that would re-cast some of his best-known compositions in stripped-down arrangements, he had one or two dark nights of the soul-wondering if it was really a good idea to go home again, musically, as it were. So he sought some advice. "I called Linda Ronstadt, because I try to ask her opinion about everything musical," Souther says. "And she thought it was a brilliant idea and said, 'Yeah, go for it, absolutely.' But Linda did give me a funny warning right before I did it. She emailed me one night and said, 'Hey, and by the way, don't try and rewrite the songs!'" He chuckles to recall that sage counsel. "So I didn't." If ever there were songs that had weathered the years without the need of an editor's pencil, it's these. Natural History is an album that includes a few obscurities from Souther's catalog and one never-before-heard composition, but for the most part, it's putting a new spin on some of the most familiar and beloved songs from the peak of the Southern California singer/songwriter era. One was a smash for Souther himself-1979's "You're Only Lonely." Some were recorded by him back in the day but became classics in the hands of other singers, like "Faithless Love" and "Prisoner in Disguise," made famous by then-girlfriend, Ronstadt. Three are collaborations with the Eagles that Souther never recorded himself until now: "The Best of My Love," "The Sad Cafe," and "New Kid in Town." Finally hearing the band's legendary co-writer offer his own take on these tunes-au naturel-feels historic, all right.

7horse (featuring Phil Leavit and Joie Calio of DADA)
with Special Guest

Genre: Rock
Doors: 7:00PM
Show: 8:00PM

7Horse is what happens when you dump accelerant on the smoldering embers of creativity. The fresh avenue for rock veterans Joie Calio and Phil Leavitt, 7Horse's music burns where cosmic country meets dirty blues, where primal urges unfold into bawdy nights, and where two friends - and longtime bandmates - discover radically new sides of each other. All that, and maybe a bucketful of booze and a few bottles of pills, are embodied on the duo's debut album "Let the 7Horse Run." "This is all about riff and groove," Leavitt says of the duo's quest to tap into the roots of rock 'n' roll’s rich past. "It's about laying something down that's so good you want to hear it forever." The journey began innocently enough, with Calio standing among throngs of fans at a major music festival getting the itch to rock out. "I kept thinking, 'I could be up there tearing this place apart. I want to still be doing that," he says. "I called Phil and that started the conversation." Calio and Leavitt were stuck in a seemingly interminable holding pattern with their longstanding project dada, the trio responsible for the hits "Dizz Knee Land" and "All I Am" but whose efforts to make a sixth studio album had stalled. Both had been involved in other projects, Calio having released three solo records and Leavitt having been part of Butterfly Jones and Blue Man Group. But the notion of creating something new and sonically different took hold. The pair began trading ideas via iPhone, sometimes as little as just a riff and a phrase. "I'd get a sound file with a killer riff on it and the words 'Meth Lab Zoso Sticker,' Leavitt says of one exchange that would become a 7Horse song title. Neither was quite prepared for what happened next. Convening at the Woodland Hills, Calif., studio of Scott Gordon and using time originally booked for dada, the two began taking their song sketches and filling them in. "Joie plays bass in dada, and I knew he'd been working on a lot of guitar - finger-picking and slide. And we'd been talking about the blues a lot," Leavitt says. "But I had never heard him do this. I heard him play those riffs and thought, 'Something is going on here. Who are you?" Calio had a similar reaction after the duo rolled the dice and decided to have Leavitt carry the load as lead vocalist. "Phil started talk-singing into these bullet mics and megaphones, and it was like a wave hit the room," Calio says. "Take away the guy's drumsticks and he became a different person, with different body language. It sounds amazing to me." Wrapping up basically one song per day, "Let the 7Horse Run" was recorded over three racehorse sessions in Gordon's room in Woodland Hills and with Gregory Haldan and Jon Chi at In the Pocket Studios in Forestville, Calif. "We were not gonna be precious about anything," Leavitt says. "It was, 'Let’s get it on tape and move on." Dave Way did the mixes for the album, and Howie Weinberg mastered. The sparks that flew during the making of "Let the 7Horse Run" are reflected in the feeling of immediacy on the album. As Calio and Leavitt stitched together pieces from their sketchbook of riffs and lyrics, things fell into place seemingly by stream-of-consciousness. "Phil and I have a symbiotic relationship. We don’t need to talk," Calio says. "It's like when we walk into a room, one guy has the match and the other guy has the fuel."

In the 90s, Ritenour was a founding member of Fourplay, the most successful band in contemporary jazz, with keyboardist Bob James, bassist Nathan East and drummer Harvey Mason. The first Fourplay album in 1991 spent an unprecedented 33 weeks at No. 1 on Billboard's contemporary jazz chart. Adding to this legacy is his latest CD Smoke 'n' Mirrors; the recently completed Grammy nominated recording Amparo, (a follow-up with Dave Grusin to their highly-successful 2001 Grammy Award nominated contemporary classical crossover CD) and producer of Gordon Goodwin's Big Phat Band's latest CD Act Your Age (which is nominated for 3 Grammys. It's been a long road since the seventies, when Ritenour's legendary Tuesday night appearances at the famed Baked Potato, with a band including Dave Grusin, Patrice Rushen, Harvey Mason and Ernie Watts became part of the musical landscape for five years. Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, George Benson, Al Jarreau, Joe Sample, and even Bob Dylan and Joni Mitchell could be seen in the audiences that would pack the house till the wee hours of the morning. From rock to blues to jazz, his diverse music became the foundation of over 3,000 sessions as a young guitarist with a broad spectrum of artists such as Pink Floyd (The Wall), Steely Dan (Aja), Dizzy Gillespie, Sonny Rollins, Joe Henderson, B.B. King, Frank Sinatra, Simon & Garfunkel, Ray Charles, Peggy Lee, Aretha Franklin and Barbra Streisand. Not to forget the dazzling array of talent appearing on his solo works and collaborations, notably - Phil Collins, Brazilian greats Ivan Lins, Caetano Veloso, Djavan and Jao Bosco, George Benson, Chaka Kahn, Herbie Hancock, Michael McDonald and opera great Renee Fleming.

An evening of jaw-dropping guitarists from the boundary-expanding label Candyrat Records

Ewan Dobson

Ewan Dobson has established himself as one of Canada's most brilliant and exhilarating young guitarists, having won first prize in nearly every single Classical Guitar competition across the country.

Gareth Pearson

Barely out of his teens, Welsh guitar phenomenon Gareth Pearson is already considered a virtuoso in the field of finger style guitar. Having only played the instrument from recent times, he has already developed a distinctive style to his playing that has earned him the greatest accolades from world renowned players; he has been called a genius by Jan Akkerman, and Tommy Emmanuel was inspired to write a song about him which he named The Welsh Tornado.

Craig D'Andrea

Craig D'Andrea is one of the younger faces you will find on the acoustic guitar scene, but he isn't playing like he's 24 years old. Craig has been receiving support from fans and critics alike since releasing his debut album "Crazy is Catching" on CandyRat Records in March of 2007 and his 2nd full-length CD "Get Used to Isolation". The release of his albums, along with his title of 2007 Canadian Fingerstyle Champion, has given him the chance to tour in the United States and Canada with respected artists Andy McKee, Don Ross, & Antoine Dufour.

Stefano Barone

Stefano was born in Naples, Italy. Stefano Barone's debut CD features entirely original compositions, ranging from the funk of Spankie to the intimate melodies of The Return, to tracks of more complex execution and performance like Metronix, Batman, Alexander Supertramp and Minimalaction, a composition for 12 guitars which he usually perform live with the help of a multitrack machine.

Rosie Thomas
with Ivan & Alyosha

Genre: Singer/Songwriter
Doors: 7:00PM
Show: 8:00PM

Singer-songwriter Rosie Thomas embarks on a U.S. tour beginning March 15 in support of her upcoming album With Love. Due February 14 on Sing-A-Long Records, With Love is Rosie Thomas' first full-length record in four years. Hailed by The New York Times as a "sweet-voiced singer," Thomas makes her return to the studio with a band featuring David Bazan (Pedro the Lion), Blake Wescott (The Posies, Damien Jurado), brother Brian Thomas and members of Sufjan Stevens' band along with vocals by Sam Beam (Iron & Wine) and Jen Wood (The Postal Service). With Love focuses on the central theme of love and its transformative powers. The album reflects Thomas' own experience, finding love and being aided by it as she fought a two-year battle with a thyroid disorder resulting in severe anxiety. "I woke up one morning, and the sun shined in the window, and I didn't mind," Rosie says of her recovery; "the birds chirped and I thought they were singing for me. The world felt like it was back on my side again or vice versa, and I finally fit in again." Thomas has recorded four full-length albums as well as 2008's A Very Rosie Christmas. She has collaborated with Sufjan Stevens and Damien Jurado as well as performed stand-up comedy as her alter-ego, Sheila Saputo. She appeared in the 2009 film Calvin Marshall and was the subject of the 2009 documentary All the Way from Michigan Not Mars.

An Evening with Rebecca Rosen

Genre: Lecture/Audience Reading
Doors: 6:00PM
Show: 7:00PM

Audience readings entail groups of people who gather to hear messages from the spirit world. Rebecca fully surrenders all control to spirit, acting as the voice for our departed loved ones, and the most dominant energy comes through with messages for their living loved ones. The energy of most groups is like an emotional rollercoaster, composed of laughs and tears, liberating truths, moments of awe and often times a bittersweet knowing of our loved one's eternal presence.

It has been and continues to be Rebecca's experience that those souls with the greatest emotional need for a connection, both physical and non-physical, generally get read. She will attempt to read as many members of the audience as possible in the two-hour session. Though attending a group does not guarantee a personal reading, it does allow for a unique opportunity to witness profound validations of spirit communication, along with universal messages of truth and love.
